These defects must happen after the sale of the piano in order to be covered by Stilwell Pianos. In other words, if the piano has a defect when it is purchased (IE, missing lid prop, blemish in finish, etc.), the defect is not covered.
In the event Stilwell Pianos determines that the defect cannot be repaired, then Stilwell Pianos will replace the defective instrument with a reasonable equivalent.
Naturally, normal maintenance work such as tuning or regulation, and the results of normal wear, is not covered by this warranty. Tuning and adjustments are defined in the document titled "Piano Care" that is attached to this warranty. Cosmetic blemishes are also not covered. We have priced our used pianos in accordance with any blemishes they may already have.
