Location: Stilwell Pianos Rebuild Shop - Main & the 202 North
Compensation: $18/hour
Relocation: Possible, though we cannot provide relocation assistance.

About Us:
Our renowned piano rebuilding shop is offering a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our team full-time. We specialize in top-tier piano restoration, offering a unique chance to learn advanced rebuilding skills under expert guidance. We have 6 full time technicians in the shop that can help train you. If all goes well, this would lead to a full time professional position.

The Role:
You’ll assist in the meticulous process of our rebuilding pianos, as well as our customers pianos—from action restoration to soundboard shimming and restringing. You will gain hands-on experience in all stages of the process while working side-by-side with master technicians. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about piano technology and eager to expand their skills into high-level rebuilding work.

Requirements:
– At least 1 year of experience with piano tuning, repair, or maintenance.
– Alternatively, completion of the Piano Technician Academy (PTA) course.
– Detail-oriented with a passion for craftsmanship.
– Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced rebuilders.
– Ability to work full-time in our shop (note: relocation is the candidate’s responsibility if not local).
