Piano Store Sales & Operations Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused team member to assist with the daily operations of our piano store. This position combines customer service, showroom maintenance, shipping and receiving, basic technical assistance, and general store support. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, comfortable interacting with customers, and willing to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
Monitor the showroom and provide assistance to visitors as needed.
Support the sales team by maintaining a welcoming customer environment.

Store Appearance & Maintenance

Dust and clean pianos regularly to maintain showroom presentation.
Organize and straighten the sales floor.
Empty trash and perform general cleanup duties.
Wash windows and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout the store.
Fill and maintain humidifiers.
Feed and care for store fish and aquarium as scheduled.

Shipping & Inventory Support

Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Assist with receiving and organizing incoming merchandise and supplies.
Help maintain inventory organization.

Technical & Physical Support

Assist with player piano upgrades and installations (training provided as needed).
Help move and position pianos safely within the showroom and warehouse.
Perform lifting and other physical tasks as required.

Marketing & Media Support

Assist with photography and video projects for marketing purposes.
Create or help manage social media content and posts.
Support promotional activities and special events.

Qualifications

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and social media platforms.
Ability to safely lift and move heavy items with assistance and proper equipment.
Interest in music, pianos, or musical instruments is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and move heavy objects with assistance.
Ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the store.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Compensation: Based on experience ($20-$30 an hour)
