Boston pianos feature Steinway features, such as a hexagrip pinblock, diaphragmatic soundboard,  and more. This instrument has a beautifully warm tone and a highly responsive action.

This instrument is different than a Kawai, despite being built by the same company. A Boston piano features a maple inner and outer rim, low-tensioned scale design, and Steinway-designed hammers. Why Kawai produces an objectively superiorly-designed instrument than their own pianos remains a mystery.
