If you have never played or heard a Blüthner piano, the first time you set your fingers on the keys and hear the tone, you will be mesmerized by the richness that isn’t available on any other piano. There are many elements of the design of Blüthner pianos that come into play which create this unique sonic experience.
One patented technology that only Blüthner has is their Aliquot stringing. On regular pianos, there are 3 strings for each note throughout most of the piano. Only Blüthner pianos offer a 4th string which sits on top of the other 3 strings and sympathetically vibrates creating a sound all its own.
This piano has just been rebuilt and restrung with new pinblock. It has new German Abel hammers and the flanges and shanks were replaced about 20 years ago. The case has been refinished as well.
Blüthner tone has been described as the, “Golden tone”. You will find that unlike most other European pianos, Blüthner has a fatter, warmer tone, yet, with clarity and projection. Once you hear the sound, you will be entranced!
