The Piano of the Immortal's...for well over 150 years, the name Steinway has stood for unparalleled quality and prestige. From Horowitz to Maroon 5, Steinway has become the piano of choice for artists of all backgrounds who demand the best musicality possible from a piano. This vintage A is no exception. Handmade with love from 1909 to 1910, this instrument was the smallest from the original A, B, C, D platform Henry E. Steinway established with his son, William, in the 19th century. The model A was designed to be the smallest Steinway possible, suitable for large homes. Before the turn of the century, Steinway blatantly scoffed at any grand piano less than six feet in length, as not being truly a "grand."
This Steinway A has a surprisingly powerful tone that is remarkably clear for an instrument of this size. For a piano under seven feet, this instrument has a substantial bass register and remarkable sustain and balance across all registers--a true singing tone can be achieved in any register on this piano. The cabinet is true to the original instrument.
Please be our guest, and experience the joy of this magnificent piano! This Steinway is ready for another 100 years, greatly deserving its title as The Piano of the Immortals.
